About KF clamps

KF clamp centering rings and O-rings are quick-assembly vacuum hardware components used to create leak-tight seals across ISO-KF (NW) flanged systems. They consist of a rigid metal or SS outer ring, an elastomer O-ring seal, and an external quick-action clamp

Components and Materials

Centering Ring (Outer Ring): Made of aluminum or 304 stainless steel to hold the assembly centered between two matching flange faces.

O-Ring Seal: Elastomer ring fitted onto the inner or outer diameter of the metal ring; common materials include Viton (FKM) for high temperatures (150C to 200C) and Buna-N (NBR) for general use up to 80C.

KF Clamp: Usually an aluminum or stainless steel wing-nut hinge clamp or a fast-action aluminum chain clamp designed to wedge evenly around 15-degree tapered flange edges when tightened
