About Digital Pirani Gauge

A digital Pirani gauge is a electronic monitoring instrument used to measure high vacuum levels. It works by measuring the thermal conductivity of gases to calculate negative pressure

Working Principle

The Filament: The sensor head contains a thin heated metal wire, typically made of tungsten, nickel, or platinum.
Heat Transfer: As gas molecules hit the wire, they pull heat away from it.
Pressure Link: At high vacuum (low pressure), fewer molecules exist, so less heat is pulled away.
The Output: The wire stays hotter, changing its electrical resistance. The digital controller reads this resistance change and instantly calculates the vacuum level
